Bebiana Sá Moura is currently Science and Technology Manager at Faculty of Medicine University of Coimbra.
Being a native of Vila Nova de Gaia, she studied in University of Porto from where she received her B.S. in Biochemistry in 2007. She went on to do her M.S. in the Institute for Molecular and Cell Biology, in the Crystallography group, under the supervision of Sandra Macedo Ribeiro. In 2008 she was accepted in the GABBA program and moved to United States where she did her PhD at Mark Hochstrasser’s laboratory at Yale University. There, Bebiana worked on the characterization of a novel protein, Ynl155w, involved in the ubiquitin-proteasome system. In 2014, she moved to Heidelberg and joined the Hurt lab where she worked on ribosome biogenesis.
In her free time she enjoys good books, looking for the next great B-movie and traveling.
